Righteye FlounderRighteye flounders are a family, Pleuronectidae, of flounders. They are called righteye flounders because they lie on the sea bottom on their left side, with both eyes on the right side. About 12 species of righteye flounders inhabit the Arctic. They eat worms, molluscs, echinoderms, crustaceans, other benthic invertebrates, and fishes. |
